Is WGSHA's entrance test called MET?

Not currently for its own primary admission process -- WGSHA (Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, a constituent of Manipal Academy of Higher Education) now uses its own Department Test (DT), followed by Panel and Personal Interviews. 'MET' (Manipal Entrance Test) is Manipal's separate, broader entrance test primarily associated with other Manipal programmes (engineering and others) -- some older/unofficial sources still reference MET for WGSHA UG admission, but current official WGSHA admission material describes the Department Test (DT) as the actual process.

Do PG applicants need a Hotel Management background?

No -- candidates with a Bachelor's degree in any subject other than Hotel Management can still apply for PG programmes, but must complete a 3-month bridge program running parallel to the Master's programme.
